Site Terms and Conditions
The UniverCity Community Association website and forums are an online resource for UniverCity residents. The site is focused on sharing ideas, engaging in discussions, and providing a space for residents to engage with each other on topics they feel are best for the community. We want to hear from everyone and encourage active, frequent participation, feel free to share thoughts, ideas and respectfully delivered feedback.
In that spirit, we ask that your contributions are respectful, polite and consider the diversity of our community. When posting content you agree to the following ground rules.
We reserve the right to remove any content or ban a participant, if it’s deemed offensive or inappropriate.
The forum will be monitored regularly. Please report content that you believe violates these ground rules to UniverCityCommunity@gmail.com.
Identify yourself – You are encouraged to use your actual name, including when posting comments or participating in discussions. You may not represent yourself as another person, or imply any connection with any person or organization with which you are not in fact associated. Contributors will be required to create a member account prior to posting.
Be thoughtful – You agree to consider your sources of information by fact-checking or exploring your sources of shared knowledge, referencing credible websites, authors, and organizations. Spreading misinformation without careful thought erodes trust and makes the community less informed and fearful.
Be courteous, respectful and appropriate – You agree that your comments, ideas and feedback will be constructive and will not sharply criticize or attack another participant or their ideas, avoiding memes, objectionable avatars, or links to external websites. Further, you agree to refrain from posting or uploading anything obscene, hateful, derogatory or discriminatory. You also agree to refrain from posting or uploading anything that is defamatory or libelous or invades another person’s privacy or proprietary rights. If you need to ask yourself whether something is appropriate, it’s probably not.
No spamming or intentional disruptions – You agree not to deliberately disrupt discussions with repetitive messages, meaningless messages or “spam.” Furthermore, you will not upload, post or submit anything that contains any viruses or cancel bots, Trojan horses, harmful code, or other computer software programs designed to interrupt another person’s participation in, or enjoyment of the UniverCity Community Association online forum.
No copyright infringement - You agree not to post copyrighted material or content without permission from the content owner.
No solicitation – You agree to refrain from sending any bulk unsolicited advertising, promotional information, commercial email or other solicitation (including, but not limited to junk mail, chain letters or pyramid schemes of any sort) to any person through the UniverCity Community Association online forum.
Comply with the law – You will comply with all applicable laws when participating in this online forum and will not use the UniverCity Community Association online forum for illegal purposes.
