With a nod to the beautiful red-fruited bushes that grow plentifully on Burnaby Mountain, The UniverCity Seniors Meet-Up Group has renamed itself 'The Elderberries'!
The next Elderberries outing will be a guided visit to the Vancouver Art Gallery's show Uninvited: Canadian Women Artists in the Modern Moment on Tuesday, December 6th.
We will meet at the entrance to the Vancouver Art Gallery at 5:00 pm, when admission becomes pay-what-you-can (a big saving if you are not a member!)
IMPORTANT - Please RSVP to UniverCitySeniors@gmail.com by Saturday, December 3rd so that we know who is coming. That way we can be sure we are all together before entering the gallery.
This show is a really amazing and unique event and you are recommended to watch the curator's talk on Youtube before we go.
Getting there
The gallery can be reached in approximately 55 minutes by the R5 bus to the Burrard end stop - it's a 7-minute walk from there to the gallery entrance on Hornby. The gallery's address is 750 Hornby Street.
