There will be two related UniverCity Seniors' Meet-ups in November, related to the Vancouver Art Gallery's current show, Uninvited: Canadian Women Artists in the Modern Moment.
Tuesday November 22, 11:45 am: Meet at Biercraft (8902 University High St.) for lunch and a screening of curator Sarah Milroy's illustrated talk about the show and the artists involved.
Tuesday November 29: Visit to Vancouver Art Gallery - the Gallery opens at 12noon on Tuesdays (admission is $29 or free for members - yearly membership is $58) but becomes pay-what-you-can from 5:00 pm on. Our timing and details will be decided soon. If you are interested in this outing, please make sure to email us (see RSVP email below) so that we can send you the details and time once finalized.
Each of these events can be taken as a stand-alone, but I know that if you see the curator's introduction you will be fired up to see the show. December becomes very busy with people travelling so we can take the Nov 29 outing as our December event.
We'll finalize the Nov 29 time and travel at the Nov 22 meeting and by email.
