Our upcoming meeting will be a garden picnic in Serenity (at #60-9229 University Crescent) followed by a visit to the SFU Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography where the acting director, Rob Rondeau, will introduce us to the museum and to his research in marine archaeology and the peopling of the Americas.
Please come at 11:00 am, bringing your own sandwich or snack. I shall provide coffee, tea, and water.
At 12:15 pm we’ll walk over to the SFU campus to the Museum, which is on the lower ground level at the junction of Saywell Hall with the NE corner of the Academic Quadrangle.
Please RSVP by July 20 to univercityseniors@gmail.com and let me know whether you prefer coffee, decaf coffee, Earl Grey tea, or herbal tea.
From now on, our group plan is to meet regularly for lunch and an event on the fourth Tuesday of each month. There will be no meeting in August, so the next meeting will be on September 26 for a walk through some local trails led by Ernest Harrop. Details will follow nearer the time. Please feel free to pass on the word to any interested friends and neighbours.
